Like all Chopard perfumes, the new composition is inspired by the brand's lavish jewelry creations. Iris Malika is the olfactory equivalent of the Impériale jewelry collection, magnificent jewelry created for strong women, called "modern empresses" at Chopard.
Iris Malika is the quintessence of two cultures that harmoniously interpenetrate: a combination of excellent French perfumery and high perfumery of the Middle East. Who better than perfumer Dora Baghriche could create this work in which two cultures come together in harmony? Dora grew up in Algiers, where she was "soaked" in Arab-Moorish and French traditions - two worlds that are an integral part of her soul. It is she who is the creator of this extraordinary fragrance.
Combining raw materials in her own unique way, she created an unexpected, sensual, delightful and calming scent of iris. She was able to use the extraordinary richness of this flower and combine it with other ingredients in a unique way. Iris, an eternal icon of French perfumery, is surrounded here by Middle Eastern sensuality.
Iris Malika hides a certain mystery. The magic happens both in the bottle itself and outside of it, when the scent develops on the skin or when it becomes just a delicate trace.
Perfume is a kind of virtual architecture. It is an intangible but powerful work of art. And the architect who designed this work is Dora Baghriche . When she creates a fragrance, she often relies on a duo of ingredients. In the case of Iris Malika, she chose iris and tonka bean. " I love the combination of these two raw materials ," she explains.
