"Beauty is a woman's best revenge"
Serge Gainsbourg
THE POWER OF FEMININITY
From New York to Paris, London or Sydney… Juliette intrigues the world. Armed with her perfume, the Shakespearean heroine goes wild. Life is too short and pleasures are too much, says Juliette. The gun, a metaphor for perfume, a weapon of seduction or a simple accessory to a bluff, basically symbolizes the liberation of women in relation to men. And sometimes with a desire for revenge… But the concept is also influenced by romanticism. A modern version, in which the reinvention of couplehood and femininity is a constant search
Our philosophy, launched in 2006, is to approach perfumery as an art form and to be present only in limited distribution such as concept stores, department stores or specialist perfumeries.
Rebel Juliette
A classic collection of 14 scents that have become iconic, composed as olfactory portraits and 6 scents from our Luxury Collection, a true tribute to raw materials. The exceptionally feminine scents of Juliette has a Gun are used as different aspects of Juliette's personality, rebellious, vengeful, fiery, androgynous, bachelor or immaterial.
ROMANO RICCI
Inspired by the world of fashion through his great-grandmother Nina and the world of perfume through his grandfather Robert (creator of the famous "L'air du temps"), Romano was surrounded by fashion and fragrances since childhood. Grateful for his family heritage, Romano Ricci also wanted to prove that he could succeed on his own and express his creativity.
His fascination with scents led him to study chemistry and fragrance science at the renowned company Robertet.
In 2006, Romano Ricci decided to start his own perfume brand and named it Juliette Has A Gun. The brand name refers to a strong and independent woman who is both romantic and dangerous. Ricci created a brand that was supposed to explore different aspects of femininity and immortalize them in the form of fragrances.
Juliette Has A Gun perfumes are known for their unconventional, sensual and slightly rebellious aesthetic. Ricci drew inspiration from literature, music and fashion, as well as emotions and relationships, to create unique and intriguing fragrances. His perfumes often have names that reference romantic stories, such as "Lady Vengeance" or "Mad Madame".
In May 2011, the French Fragrance Foundation honored Romano Ricci with the “Special Award of the Board” at “Les Parfums 2011” (FiFi Awards). Tradition with a touch of provocation, Romano brings perfumes back to what they should always be: emblems of style and originality.
